AMRITSAR: State ruling party combine SAD-BJP have evenly split 10 Amritsar seats - the Lok Sabha constituency, and its nine segments. In all the five BJP seats, the candidates have resorted to making Prime Minister Narendra Modi their main pitch, along with development work. "On February 4, give a referendum in favour of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal and press the lotus button," BJP's Rajesh Honey told voters in Amritsar East. BJP candidate for the Lok Sabha seat, Rajinder Mohan Singh Chhina described Modi as a leader with "100 years' advance thinking." For the four assembly seats in its share, the BJP has fielded Minister Anil Joshi, Tarun Chugh, Rakesh Gill, and Honey. Gill, who will face Congress MLA Raj Kumar Verka, said, "Today there are some problems. But in the future, you and your children's future will be secure in the hands of SAD-BJP combine."
