Gandhinagar: Indian expats wanting to invest in Haryana could have more industrial land reserved for them, Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar said in Gandhinagar. Talking to reporters after going around the Haryana Pavilion at the Pravasi Bhartiya Diwas (PBD), Khattar said that the state government has already provided 10 per cent reservation in industrial plots to NRIs and this could further be increased if they asked for the same.

He said that the NRIs had shown keen interest in making investment in the state, where there were ample opportunities in the areas of education, tourism, automobiles, infrastructure and others to invest. "The Haryana government is committed to provide favourable conditions to the NRIs," Khattar said.

During an interaction at Gujarat Chamber of Commerce and Industry (GCCI), Khattar said that he wanted to take the state ahead of Gujarat. Khattar said Haryana was keen to work with the Gujarat government to increase milk productivity and in related areas.

"Haryana will develop the Gir breed of cows, besides its own Haryana breed. I met the animal husbandry minister of Gujarat Babubhai Bokhiria and he assured supply of semen of this Gujarati breed. We have set a target of one lakh such cows," added Khattar.

About his connection with Gujarat, Khattar said, "I worked with Modiji for five years when he was serving the BJP in Panchkula and learnt a lot from him. I was also involved in the last assembly elections in Gujarat as I was the in-charge at Amreli. This is my first official visit to Gujarat though I have come here earlier."
