The CM has said that Bengal’s outstanding dues. The meeting comes two days before the annual Niti Aayog governing council meeting on Sunday. The Bengal CM’s 40-minute interaction with Modi also comes at a time when one of her former ministers, Partha Chatterjee (sacked last week), is in ED custody and is being interrogated by the central agency in connection with the teachers’ recruitment scam that has dealt a mighty blow to the pro-people image of her government and the governing TMC in the state.
Banerjee also called on newly elected President Droupadi Murmu. It was a courtesy meeting for 15 minutes.
