Modifest, to celebrate three years of Modi raj

The ruling Bharatiya Janta Party has planned a grand 'Modifest' to celebrate the NDA's three years in power. Spread across 900 cities, the imposing gala will be held between May 26 and June 15, the gala will see the Modi government celebrate its achievements since coming to power in 2014.

Union Textile Minister Smriti Irani, addressing a press meet, said, “The government is going to celebrate the three years of the historic mandate it got in 2014. In order to highlight the government's achievements under the leadership of Prime Minister Modi, a series of dialogue programmes would be held in 900 cities across the country.” She said the the 'Making of Developed India' or 'Modifest' would be inaugurated by NaMo from Guwahati.

BJP said events across the country would be addressed by several Union ministers, parliamentarians, chief ministers, and leaders from BJP-ruled states. A 'Jan Ki Baat' programme is also scheduled for people to directly share their messages with the PM. Senior BJP leader Arun Singh said, “The party has also organised intellectual summits in the cities in which the party's ministers would participate and interact with the people.” He added that a programme on 'Swacch Bharat Abhiyan' has also been organised at every venue.”

Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh will attend the fests to be held in Jaipur and Mumbai, External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj in Delhi and Lucknow, while party president Amit Shah will attend events in Kerala, Port Blair, Chhattisgarh, and Arunachal Pradesh. “Our prominent national and state leaders will visit various parts of the country to showcase the achievements of the Narendra Modi government,” said senior Bihar BJP leader Sushil Kumar Modi.
