Indian prime minister Narendra Modi is getting ready to play the gracious host again. The red carpet is being readied for French President Emmanuel Macron's first visit to the country after taking over the reins of France. Modi had rushed to Paris to meet Macron, shortly after his election last summer. The 39-year-old leader, France's youngest president, is going to get the Modi brand of hospitality, with a visit being planned to the prime minister's constituency, Varanasi, where the two will have lunch before heading to Assi Ghat. During the Uttar Pradesh visit, Macron is also slated to inaugurate a solar plant at Dadar Kala village in Mirzapur on March 12. A French company, Engie Solar, is building the plant, said to be the biggest in Uttar Pradesh.
