Young Bengali TV actress passes away

TV actor Aindrila Sharma passed away at a private hospital in Howrah on Sunday noon. The 24-year-old had battled a Primitive Neuro-Ectodermal Tumor (PNET) in the spine in 2015 and had a relapse in 2021. Her demise came as a big blow to people across the country who had sought inspiration in her war against cancer. On November 1, Aindrila was brought to the emergency section of Narayana Superspeciality Hospital in a comatose condition and was immediately put on a ventilator. Her CT scan of the brain showed a massive haemorrhage in the left half of the brain. While a combined team of specialists worked tirelessly on Aindrila, she lost the final battle. Over the years, Aindrila’s documentation of her war against cancer had resonated with many.
