Kolkata: A flutter was created after posters of Abhishek Banerjee, the National General Secretary of Trinamool Congress (TMC), surfaced in Hazra and Rashbehari areas of south Kolkata. The posters stated that a new Trinamool Congress will come up in the next six months.

Surprisingly, Mamata Banerjee was missing from the posters. There was just a TMC logo and Abhishek Banerjee’s image. "In the next 6 months, a new TMC will come up. Just like the one desired by the people" read the poster.

The posters first came up in Hazra, which is considered to be the fortress of TMC and is also important to the party as it was the residence of Mamata Banerjee. Questions were raised about what exactly a 'new TMC in 6 months' means. The biggest question being asked is whether all is well inside the Trinamool Congress?

Reacting to the posters, Rajya Sabha MP Dr Shantanu Sen refuted all claims of anything being unwell within the TMC.

"There is no internal difference, it is not BJP that there will be factionalism. Mamata Banerjee is our leader and Abhishek Banerjee himself has stated this on all occasions. I know it was not done by the party or by any leader, " Shantanu Sen said.
