On Tuesday early morning (suspected around 5am) Govindbhai Lalji Kerai of Amazing Tiles from Park Royal, London and family met with a fatal road accident near Navagam village in Kutch, Gujarat. He was travelling with his wife Kanta, brother in law Vishrambhai Karsan Gorasia (from Baladia), and wife Tejbai from Bhuj to Rapor for a Murti pratishtha ceremony in Swaminarayan Mandir, when the car was hit by a truck.
It resulted into 60 years old Vishrambhai’s immediate death. Tejbai and Govindbhai with serious injuries were taken to Bhuj hospital along with Kantaben. Vishrambhai who was fatally injured on the head, neck and shoulder, his dead body was later taken to Anjar for the post-mortem, and then to Baladia for the cremation. Tejbai who also has had a head injury and a fracture in the hand, is now considered stable, but continues to be treated in the ICU at Bhuj.
Govindbhai however has been moved to Ahmedabad Stirling hospital, under the supervision of a specialist. Badly hurt in the abdomen, the severity of his injury is not yet revealed but he is being treated at critical but stable in the ICU. Swami Madhav Priyadas from Gurukul in Charodi, is present at the hospital to pray for Govindbhai and his family.
Manubhai Ramji of Kings Kitchen, the brother in law of Govindbhai told Asian Voice that his wife Kantaben and Govindbhai’s daughter Deepaben (35) are flying to Ahmedabad today, to be beside the family in this unfortunate scenario.
