Most of us don’t seem to have time for self-care! But exercising and investing in our physical fitness remains a key component to our mental and emotional well-being. Peloton, an American fitness equipment company, has a solution for those complaining of an exhaustive 9-6 work schedule.

Peleton has launched an indoor cycling bike which comes with a luxurious Wi-Fi–enabled, 22-inch touchscreen tablet. The purpose of this tablet is simple: It streams 14 daily live and 8000+ on-demand classes and allows the rider to compete with other participants.

These classes vary in their lengths of duration starting from 5 minutes and lasting to 120 minutes. This means you can choose a session according to your morning routine before you leave for work. It also offers ‘off-the-bike’ workouts including strength, stretching, and cardio sessions and you can filter by instructor, length of class, music genre or intensity. The on-screen performance tracking metrics also allows one to monitor their speed, resistance and power. There’s also a real-time leaderboard which pops up with names of other riders tuning in remotely to take the class.

For the cyclist devotees or the gym junkies this bicycle provides a strenuous cardio workout in the process. It costs roughly £2,000 for the first year alongside a roughly £30 per-month membership fee for the streaming content and iOS app, obligatory for the first year. Many have debated if the cycle is worth the investment. However, it perhaps is equivalent to a high-end gym-subscription of about a couple of years’ time whilst bringing the gym to your room.
