Bengali actress Swastika Dutta is all set to return to the big screen after a gap of five years. She will be joining Abir Chatterjee and Ritabhari Chakraborty for Aritra Mukherjee’s ‘Fatafati’.

Sharing why she chose this particular project, Swastika said, “I did get film offers but none of them were meaty enough. I loved the script of ‘Fatafati’ and I believe that it will be a good comeback film for me. I play Biki Sen, a popular model in the film. In real life too, I started my career with modelling so those experiences are helping me portray the character convincingly. I will also be attending acting workshops before the film goes on the floor. My shooting schedule is from May 2 though the film will go on the floors from April 25.”

She added, “I have joined a gym so I can flaunt a toned body in the film. Plus I am on a healthy diet so the inner glow is reflected on my face.” Swastika said she is waiting for the right script to make a comeback on the small screen. “It is only possible to face the camera every day if one is part of a serial. And I feel, as an actor, that is how a person learns. So, I would love to be back on the small screen.”

Previously, Swastika has featured in films like ‘Parbo Ami Charteh’, ‘Toke’, ‘Abhimaan’, and ‘Haripada Bandwala’.
