When people struggle to distinguish between the character and the actor, it's a sign of a job well done. Rishab Shetty, who portrayed a daiva in Kantara, reflects on the overwhelming attention he receives in public spaces. "I'm not sure how to respond to it all. It's been almost two years since Kantara was released," says Rishab.
Having recently wrapped up a shoot for his upcoming film "Kantara Chapter 1" in his hometown Kundapura, the actor is now back in Bengaluru for a short stay.
At events, so many people come and fall at my feet and treat me with so much reverence. I feel at a loss for words when such things happen. I’m not some divine entity; I am just an actor. What you saw in Kantara, was the character I played. That person is not me. I owe it to the daivas and people for showering me with love. But treat me like an artiste. Let the reverence be for the gods!
Given the high expectations from "Kantara Chapter 1," we aimed to deliver a visually stunning experience. For VFX-intensive segments, we enlisted a top-notch studio that has worked on acclaimed films like "The Lion King" and "The Chronicles of Narnia." The work is progressing swiftly across various locations worldwide, including the US, UK, and Bengaluru.
