Tamil film on power crisis wins award

'Kanavu Variyam', a film directed by Arun Chidambaram which deals with the impact of power crisis in the villages of Tamil Nadu, has won the prestigious ‘Remi Award’ which will be given at the 49th World Fest Houston International Film Festival scheduled from April 8-17, 2016. Of over thousands entries, from over 43 movie-producing nations worldwide, only a few are chosen for screening. 'Kanavu Variyam's world premiere will be at WorldFest. In addition to playing the lead role and directing the movie, Arun has written the Story, Screenplay, Dialogues and Lyrics for the film. 'Kalla Manna' (‘Stone Or Sand’) a song featuring in the film has also won international recognition.
