Within an hour of the release, the one-minute-seven-second teaser crossed one million views on the website, making it the highest so far for a South Indian film. Also noted was when the makers unveiled a new poster of Rajinikanth, ahead of the teaser release, the film saw itself among the top trending on Facebook.
