Rajini's 'Darbar' gets a Bollywood actor as villain

Rajinikanth's Thalaivar 167 titled 'Darbar' is one highly awaited film as the megastar returns to play a police officer after a gap of 25 years on screen. The film also stars Nayanthara in the lead role, pushing the two actors together after 14 years. While the first poster of 'Darbar' has already an impact with Rajini's impeccable charisma on display.

In recent update, Bollywood actor Prateik Babbar is set to play the antagonist in the movie. Last seen playing a villain in 'Baaghi 2', Prateik was officially roped in to play the baddie. A source said, “Murugadoss was impressed by Prateik in 'Baaghi 2' and decided to cast him. He plays the antagonist's son and will feature in important scenes with Rajini. After Mumbai, the team heads to Tamil Nadu for the remaining portions.”

Prateik too confirmed the news saying, “It has been my aspiration to share screen space with a legend like Rajinikanth sir. I can't wait to meet him and observe him on set. I have been appreciated for characters with grey shades and I am investing my 200 per cent in this role because it's an opportunity of a lifetime.”
