PM Modi reaches out to Rahman on Twitter

With elections around the corner, political parties are on a campaigning frenzy, giving out their resolutions to people. In his own unique way, Prime Minister Narendra Modi too has taken to micro-blogging website Twitter to request the citizens to vote using a different approach. He has tweeted to a number of political leaders, sports personalities, movie celebrities and others, urging them to use their influence over citizens and emphasise every individual to vote during the elections. One of the celebrities Modi tweeted was AR Rahman.

In the particular tweet, the Prime Minister aged Lata Mangeshkar, Sachin Tendulkar, along with Rahman, and humbly requested them to inspire more citizens to come out and vote in the 2019 elections. The Academy Award winner promptly replied to the tweet saying, “We will ji ..Thank you”.

AR Rahman is currently busy composing the music for Vijay's upcoming film with Atlee. Atlee and Rahman are teaming up for the second time. Their previous film 'Mersal' turned out to be a blockbuster and the album was celebrated by Vijay fans.
