Superstar Rajinikanth is currently basking in the success of his recent release 'Darbar' that had hit the big screens on January 9th. Directed by AR Murugadoss, the film featured Lady Superstar Nayanthara as the female lead.

Apart from the leads, the film featured Suniel Shetty, Yogi Babu, Nivetha Thomas, Jatin Sarna, Prateik Babbar, Nawab Shah, baby Manasvi Kottachi amongst others in prominent roles. The film also did wonders at the box-office. Bankrolled by Lyca Productions, the film featured music composed by Anirudh Ravichander. The camera is cranked by ace cinematographer Santosh Sivan while the cuts were handled by editor A. Sreekar Prasad.

Nivetha Thomas who was seen as Valli in the film had shared what all went behind to shoot for a shot that barely appeared on the screen for 2 seconds. Sharing the pic, she wrote, “A shot lasting 2 seconds in the film took 2 flights, hours of prep, a day’s shoot and a night’s stay to work. Film making is a tedious and disciplined process.

It follows a method, involves people, equipment, management, planning and immense effort. Spend a day on set to understand what it means when technicians and actors from the industry say, “The team has put in a lot of hard work!” Though it’s easy to say ‘cliche’ when you hear stuff often, take a moment to think more about why they say it.
