Last seen in home invasion thriller Kolayuthir Kaalam, Nayanthara has a few interesting projects up her sleeve. And the latest is that Nayanthara has signed up for RJ Balaji's next titled Mookkuthi Amman for the well-written role and the good rapport she has with the actor. The film has been touted to be a satirical comedy and is being scripted by the popular radio jockey turned actor himself.

RJ Balaji’s latest movie LKG turned out to be a commercial hit. He was seen as the lead actor in the film as opposed to playing hero’s side kick. Balaji wrote the story and script for LKG and it had worked out well. Priya Anand, Nanjil Sampath and late. J.K. Ritesh played important roles in the film. Meanwhile, the actor is currently gearing up for his next project which will be produced by Isari Ganesh under his banner Vels Film International – the same production house that bankrolled LKG.

Mukkuthi Amman is in its pre-production stage and will soon start shooting. Details of the rest of the cast and crew are expected to be announced soon. Previously, Nayanthara and RJ Balaji featured in director Vignesh Shivan’s comedy Naanum Rowdy Dhaan and director Mohan Raja's Velaikaaran. With a combo that has proven its mettle by delivering successful outings, one can expect a fun-filled entertainer in the making.
