Well-known music composer Isaignani Ilaiyaraja has produced compositions for several films in Tamil, Telugu and Kannada languages. The septuagenarian recently re-introduced popular Carnatic singer Sudha Ragunathan to cinema by offering her a song in his Kannada-Telugu bilingual 'Idolle Ramayana' (Kannada) and 'Manavoori Ramayana' (Telugu), directed by Prakash Jha. Sudha, who enjoys a distinguished position as a classical vocalist, was introduced to the field by Ilaiayaraja in R Partheipan's 'Ivan', released in 2002. The veteran singer's melodious voice will be heard after a gap of 14 years.
