Baahubali creates box-office history, crosses 200 crore in 5 days

S.S. Rajamouli's masterpiece 'Baahubali' has taken the entire industry by storm since it day it opened to a box office collection of Rs. 60 crore. The action drama's spectacular run has pushed the film beyond expectations. Grossing Rs. 200 crore in just 5 days, it has created such a milestone in the history of Indian cinema that it will take more than the famous Khans to touch it.

In the first 3 days, 'Baahubali' grossed Rs. 166 crore, and then easily inched towards 200 in the next 2 days. The movie released in more than 3000 screens across India in four languages; Tamil, Telugu, Hindi and Malayalam and is the most expensive project to be made in the Indian industry with an approximate budget of Rs. 250 crore. It took more than 500 days for the makers of Baahubali to complete the film’s shooting.

Directed by S. S. Rajamouli and produced by Shobu Yarlagadda and Prasad Devineni, it stars Prabhas, Anushka Shetty, Tamannaah Bhatia and Rana Daggubati. 'Baahubali' will be presented in two parts.

The Hindi version of 'Baahubali' is also performing well and its collection summed to Rs. 22.35 crore.
