AR Rahman's next goes international!

The Mozart of Madras, AR Rahman, who has reigned the music industry for decades had earlier made an announcement that he is stepping into the producer’s and the writer’s shoes for the very first time with '99 Songs'. Rahman had described 99 Songs as "a young, passionate story with music in its soul."

Rahman’s 99 Songs will be showcased at Busan International Film Festival on October 9. Rahman took to his Twitter to make the announcement. The movie has been selected to be screened at the prestigious Busan International film festival on October 9. He wrote, “Thrilled to announce, our labour of love #99Songs, directed by @vishweshk starring @itsEhanBhat will be showcased at @busanfilmfest on Oct 9. Gratitude & thanks"

Vishwesh Krishnamoorthy, director of MTV's Bring on the Night and The Dewarists, has helmed 99 Songs. The film is backed by his production banner YM Movies, along with Jio Studios and Ideal Entertainment. '99 Songs' features debutants Ehan, Edilsy Varghese and Tenzin Dalha. The film will also feature Lisa Ray, Manisha Koirala, composer-drummer Ranjit Barot and Indian Ocean’s Rahul Ram in the supporting roles.
