Actor-filmmaker Ragava Lawrencce's Tamil horror comedy “Kanchana 2” has grossed over Rs 1 billion at the box office worldwide after completing a 50 day run in cinemas. With only a budget of Rs 170 Crore, the movie has turned out to be the most successful venture for its stakeholders, given the return on investment. “It's the first blockbuster of this year in Tamil cinema. It has done phenomenal business by collecting Rs 1.08 billion at the ticket window worldwide. It continues to run to packed house in select theatres across Tamil Nadu,” trade analyst Trinath said. Lawrencce played the lead across actresses Nitya Menon and Taapsee Pannu. The actor has reportedly said 'Kanchana 3' is currently in the scripting stage.
