Christopher Nolan is set to visit India for the first time for the Mumbai premiere of his upcoming film The Odyssey, accompanied by producer Emma Thomas and actors Matt Damon and Tom Holland. The event will mark the first official Indian premiere of a Christopher Nolan film.
The premiere will be held at PVR Icon IMAX at Phoenix Palladium in Mumbai in July. The city will become a stop on the film's global premiere tour alongside London, Paris and New York.
Directed by Nolan, The Odyssey is an adaptation of Homer's ancient Greek epic poem. Matt Damon stars as Odysseus, while Tom Holland plays Telemachus. The film also features Anne Hathaway, Zendaya, Robert Pattinson, Lupita Nyong'o and Charlize Theron.
Shot entirely using IMAX cameras, The Odyssey is scheduled for a worldwide theatrical release on 17 July.
