Alia Bhatt will make her red carpet debut at the Cannes Film Festival this year as a global ambassador for L'Oréal Paris, joining Aishwarya Rai at the event from May 13 to 24.
Celebrating its 28th year at Cannes, the brand announced Alia's participation, with the actor saying, “There’s something special about firsts. I’m thrilled to debut at Cannes, an iconic celebration of cinema and self-expression. It’s an honour to represent L’Oréal Paris with this year’s theme, ‘Lights, Beauty and Action’.”
Alia Bhatt added, “To me, beauty is about celebrating individuality, confidence, and self-worth. I’m proud to stand with a brand that empowers every woman to shine in her own light.”
Alongside Alia and Aishwarya Rai, L'Oréal Paris will also be represented at Cannes by Eva Longoria, Viola Davis, Jane Fonda, Aja Naomi King, Andie MacDowell, Simone Ashley, Elle Fanning, Bebe Vio, and Yseult.
Alia recently attended the WAVES summit in Mumbai, celebrating Maharashtra Day in a traditional Paithani sari. She will next be seen in ‘Alpha’, directed by Shiv Rawail and set in Yash Raj Films' spy universe, releasing on December 25. Alia also stars in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s ‘Love and War’ alongside Ranbir Kapoor and Vicky Kaushal.
