Vishal Bhardwaj’s much-acclaimed adaptation of The Bard’s ‘Hamlet’, ‘Haider’ completed seven years of its release. The movie pegged actor Shahid Kapoor in the industry, as he gave one of his career-best performances as the protagonist. He dedicated a social media post to the film, and wrote that ‘Haider’ answered a lot of questions he often asked himself as an actor.

He said the film nudged him in the right direction as an artist. He wrote, “To be or not to be. An actor or a star. Looking outside or deep within. To find meaning or be meaningless. To dare or to submit. To hold on or to let go. The many questions an actor faces at a critical juncture in his journey of choosing who he decides to be.” He added, “The possibilities are many. But there is only one right one. #haider you helped me find me. Ever indebted to you for that. HUM HAIN!!”

'Haider' was Shahid’s second outing with Bhardwaj after 2009’s ‘Kaminey’. On the work front, Shahid is currently filming his maiden web series, a Raj and DK directorial featuring Raashii Khanna. He also awaits the theatrical release of ‘Jersey’.
