Zayn Malik records his first Hindi song

Taking his Indian fans by surprise. young heartthrob Zayn Malik has announced that he has recorded his first Hind song for a Bollywood movie. Speaking in an interview with Elle India, the former One Direction member revealed, “It's one of the first songs I've sung in full Hindi, so it's going to be cool to see what the respons to that is.”

The 'Pillow Talk' singer who is of Pakistan-origin, detailed his love of Bollywood movies, having watched them as a kid. “Before I can even remember on the TV. Bollywood is so impeccable. If you ever get a chance to watch a good Bollywood movie, watch 'Devdas'!” The 25-year old spoke about his multi-cultural musical taste to the magazine, telling them he has dipped into his Pakistani roots again for his next album. 'Mind of Mine', he said will resonate a lot with his roots, “There's definitely a lot of Urdu; some nice qawwali sounds. There might even be some bhangra vibes. I have worked with AR Rahman on one song,” Malik confirmed.

The news sent the Indian twitterati on a frenzy, with tweets pouring in on the “fantastic” news. One user wrote, “I CANT WAIT TO SEE WHAT ZAYN IS DOING WITH BOLLYWOOD”, while another said, “the fact that zayn is expanding his music career & dipping into the Bollywood scene is literally making me scream”.
