It is time for another big fat Bollywood wedding and this may just be the biggest event of the year. Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor are all set to tie the knot on April 14, followed by a grand reception. While the couple and their relatives are quite tight-lipped about the details of the wedding ceremony, media is following and reporting the event by the minute.
According to media reports, a small baraat procession will leave for the venue on the afternoon of April 14. It will be followed by nuptials which will last till the evening. Ahead of the wedding, the couple will host mehendi ceremony, followed by haldi ceremony on April 13 and the first half of April 14, respectively.
While it was earlier believed that the ceremony will take place at Ranbir’s ancestral house in Chembur, it seems there is a slight change in plans. A new media report suggests that Alia and Ranbir will get married in the latter’s house Vastu in Bandra. Another report continued to state that the bride will choose to wear Sabyasachi with a dupatta especially made by her close friend Manish MalhotraAlia and Ranbir will also host a party for their friends in Bollywood on April 16, and later a grand reception on April 17 at Taj Mahal Palace in Mumbai.
All events are known to be strictly private with only family members and close friends in attendance. The guest list includes Karan Johar, Ayan Mukerji, Katrina Kaif, and Vicky Kaushal, among others.
