Ranbir Kapoor's upcoming epic ‘Ramayana' will receive a worldwide theatrical release through Sony Pictures Entertainment, marking one of the biggest global distribution deals for an Indian film.
Producer Namit Malhotra announced the partnership, saying it would help bring ‘Ramayana’ to audiences across the world on the scale of a major Hollywood production. He described the collaboration as a significant milestone in taking the timeless Indian epic to an international audience.
Malhotra also revealed that the film's trailer launch, originally scheduled for Friday, has been postponed. He said the delay was made to first announce the landmark partnership with Sony Pictures Entertainment before unveiling the trailer globally.
Directed by Nitesh Tiwari, ‘Ramayana’ stars Ranbir Kapoor as Lord Ram, Sai Pallavi as Sita and Yash as Ravana. The two-part adaptation is being positioned as a global cinematic event, with the makers aiming to present the Indian epic on an unprecedented international scale.
