The Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) filed a chargesheet against 33 people in a drug case that links to Bollywood actor Sushant Singh Rajput’s death. "Chargesheet names 33 accused and statements of 200 witnesses. More than 12,000 pages in hard copy and about 50,000 pages in the digital format submitted in court today," the NCB said. According to reports, the NCB has evidence comprising digital evidence, call records, WhatsApp chats and location tags, including voice recordings among several documents that had been submitted to the Bureau. The chargesheet also mentions actress Rhea Chakraborty and her brother Showed who have been associated with the case since the death of the actor. Rhea and Showik were arrested by the NCB in September 2020, along with SSR’s staff Miranda and Deepesh Sawant for allegedly procuring drugs for Sushant Singh Rajput. All of them are currently out on bail.

Sushant Singh Rajput was found hanging at his Bandra residence on June 14, 2020 last year. No suicide note was found from his home. His postmortem report suggested that he had died of asphyxiation.
