Bollywood actor Irrfan Khan is all set to begin shoot for his brand new comedy venture, helmed by Akarsh Khurrana. Irrfan will reportedly play the role of a simple, conservative, quirky, and opinionated lover of Urdu poetry in the film that will tell the story of three people on a bizarre journey. The actor is excited to explore the genre again following the success of 'Hindi Medium' where his comic timing was lauded by everyone. “It's a fun character for me to play and a rather interesting project for me to be a part of,” he said.

Irrfan will also feature in Abhinay Deo's quirky yet-to-be-titled satire, where he will play a married man in the Maximum City, stuck in a monotonous nine-to-five job and unexciting life till he finds out that his wife is having an affair.

Irrfan's character decides to blackmail her and has some fun along the way as the whole game turns into a rollercoaster. As source close to the development said Abhinay scripted the film while working on his last release, 'Force 2'. “The film is entirely shot in Mumbai and presently in post-production,” the source added. The movie also features Arunoday Singh, Gajraj Rao, and Anuja Sathe.
