Actor Ranveer Singh has responded to the controversy after the Federation of Western India Cine Employees (FWICE) issued a non-cooperation directive against him amid the ongoing Don 3 dispute.

The film body announced the move following his sudden exit from Farhan Akhtar’s project and also supported producers’ claim for around Rs 45 crore in alleged pre-production losses.

Ranveer Singh’s spokesperson said the actor has chosen not to speak publicly on the Don 3 controversy, adding that he respects the film industry and the franchise. The statement noted that such matters should be handled privately and that Singh will not engage in media speculation, while also wishing the Don team well and focusing on his upcoming projects.

The controversy began after reports that Singh exited Don 3 shortly before shooting, leading the issue to be taken to the Producers Guild of India, where attempts were made to mediate between him and Excel Entertainment. FWICE later said the production house had filed a complaint alleging a three-film agreement and sought compensation for alleged pre-production losses.

FWICE advisor Ashoke Pandit said at a press conference that the body had sent multiple notices to Ranveer Singh but received no response, after which it decided to direct members not to work with him. He added that workers across all departments would avoid his projects and urged producers to stand in solidarity and take a firm position against such conduct.

Meanwhile, Don 3, directed by Farhan Akhtar, has faced delays and casting changes since its 2023 announcement. Ranveer Singh was last seen in Dhurandhar: The Revenge and is reportedly working on the zombie thriller Pralay, which will also mark his debut as a producer.
