Actress Yami Gautam was presented the Indian Chamber of Commerce Women's Achievement Award last week. Elated on the honour, Gautam said, “I had the privilege to understand how challenging it is to make it in our respective fields and this award does give me a sense of pride for making it on my own as I do not have a godfather here and I am not from Mumbai.” She added that she has just begun her acting career and has long way to go.

“This feels a little different. To be felicitated here by Indian Chamber of Commerce is a very big deal. There is a lot more to do as I have just begun my journey. Honour like this gives a lot of encouragement, to work harder and achieve more.” The 'Kaabil' actress who began her career as a model credits her mother for her success. “I would like to thank the wonder woman in my life who is my mother. I am really proud to be from where I am and that is because of my mother. In true sense, she taught me the power of belief and to believe in myself.”
