After the recent 350 Crore club in the country, Indian cinema will very soon start a 100 Crore club in neighbouring country China. Rajkumar Hirani's “PK” has earned over Rs 830 million alone from the Chinese box office. The news has come as good news, given only a few movies made the mark this year. Year 2015 has so far been a disappointment with only a handful of movies putting up good performances.

“PK” was released in China on 22nd May in approximately 4,500 screens. It also scored 8.3 points on one of China's biggest film reviewing websites Douban since its release. A senior trade analyst took to micro-blogging site Twitter to share the `PK` collection in China.

''#PK creates HISTORY in China. 11-day total [till 1 June, Monday]: 83.94 cr. Yes, you read it right. From China alone. Will cross 100 cr.''

"We are thrilled with the audience response in China. Aamir Khan, Rajkumar Hirani and Vidhu Vinod Chopra travelled across China with our marketing team promoting the film at media and audience events and culminated this with a grand premiere in Shanghai for the film," Amrita Pandey of UTV said. "It was such a warm reception for them in China and now the movie has become a talking point and opened to such phenomenal collections! This is a really proud moment for us, and we are happy to have made this impact in a new market."

“PK” is a take-off on Godmen and was widely appreciated worldwide. He film also stars Anushka Sharma, Boman Irani and Sushant Singh Rajput.
