Nawazuddin Siddiqui's 'Babumoshai Bandookbaaz' has emerged as one of the most controversial B-Town films. It was reported that the censor board has ordered to edit out 48 scenes from the film, after which, the team met the officials and sought details about the cuts. Film producer Shroff talked to the media after the meeting.

“We demanded a justification from the officials for ordering 48 cuts despite giving it an 'A' certificate, but the officials replied, that these days even kids also watch 'A' certified films and the makers should be chopping all the sex scenes from the film. The explanations from the officials made no sense to me. In the midst of such arguments, an official asked me, how can I take such film being a woman? Another official commented, the reason for me to make such films is because I am wearing a shirt and a pant,” she said.

Shroff added, “These are shameless comments about me and I have requested the Information and Broadcasting Ministry to sack the two officials immediately. The film will not have any cuts as ordered by CBFC and we will now be heading to Film Certification Appellate Tribunal for Censor process and believe that they would watch the film the way our team have made it.”
