Apple, the Cupertino-based company, announced a series of product updates, including the iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Pro models, the new Apple Watch 8 and the updated AirPods Pro 2.
While there were some major announcements at the Far Out event, something else caught the attention of desis. During the release of AirPods Pro 2, Apple played Indian rapper Badshah’s popular 'Voodoo' song.
Given India is one of its largest markets, Apple made sure its Indian customers had more to cheer about than just the new offerings. The song by Badshah, J Balvin and Tainy was played to introduce the Apple AirPods Pro (2nd generation). The all-new wireless earbuds come powered by H2 chipset.
The new Airpods have seen a major upgrade including Active Noise Cancellation and Transparency mode along with Spatial Audio. Apple has also added touch controls for media playback and volume adjustments along with longer battery life, a brand-new charging case, and an additional ear tip size for a better fit.
The news has sent desis into overdrive, with many saying it was the Apple event’s peak moment. Meanwhile, Apple AirPods Pro 2 will be on sale with a starting price of Rs 26,900 in India. It will be available for order on September 9 and will be available at the offline store from September 23.
In total, Apple launched 8 new products at the Far Out event. These include: iPhone 14; iPhone 14 Plus; iPhone 14 Pro; iPhone 14 Pro Max; AirPods Pro; Apple Watch Series 8; Apple Watch SE, and Apple Watch Ultra.
