The Lohana Community United Kingdom (LCUK) hosted a dinner and roadshow at Blue Zenzer, Harrow, to promote the upcoming Lohana International Business Forum (LIBF) Expo 2026 – “Mumbai Calling,” set for 30 January–1 February 2026 at the Jio Convention Centre, Mumbai.
The evening opened with a welcome from LCUK Secretary General Sunil Majithia, followed by President Bharat Sodha, who highlighted LCUK’s strong ties with Lohana Mahaparishad and LIBF, noting that UK members are part of a global network of business and professional excellence.
Sodha discussed the international business landscape, highlighting opportunities from the new UK–India trade deal and recent tariff changes. He noted that the LIBF Expo 2026 will be a key platform for entrepreneurs, professionals, and investors to connect and grow their businesses.
The evening’s highlight was a keynote by Vijay Karia, Chairman and MD of Ravin Group and Chair of the Lohana Mahaparishad Business Committee. He outlined the vision for LIBF 2026, including the event’s structure, key sectors, and global business-matching via the LIBF digital app. Past events in Uganda, Gujarat, and Dubai drew large audiences and prominent dignitaries.
Karia explained that the Expo provides an international platform for the Lohana community, supported by sponsors like Euro Exim Bank and principal sponsor Sanjay Thakrar. Hundreds of companies have booked stands, with opportunities for UK businesses to showcase themselves. Attendance is free with registration and open to all communities.
The Expo will also foster connections in business, sports, employment, matrimonial services, and education, featuring events for women and youth. Mr Subhash Thakrar OBE added insights on matchmaking facilities, the LIBF app, and the world-class venue, enhancing the discussion further.
The event continued with a lively Q&A session featuring Vijay Karia and Subhash Thakrar, drawing strong audience engagement. Attendees found the discussion informative and inspiring, with many keen to participate in the Mumbai Expo.
International motivational speaker Paresh Rughani also addressed the audience, delivering an entertaining and inspiring talk that left attendees both motivated and amused.
The evening was graced by CB Patel, Publisher and Editor of Asian Voice and Gujarat Samachar, who extended his best wishes for the success of the LIBF initiative.
