Sur Bharti celebrates International Human Rights Day

Thirty children and twenty women have participated in the lively program hosted by Sur Bharti marking the International Human Rights Day on 10 December at Isleworth and Syon School.

The Children’s Talent show had fancy dress, songs, dances and instrumental presentations by children aged 3-12 years and Women’s Ramp Walk choreographed by Priyanka Kanvinde had women from different walks of life, in the stage backdrop provided by Ariya Design Studio. A welcome song music directed by Pandit Ravi Shankar for Asiad 82 was presented by Vinutha Bhat, Pushpa Latha Itagi and Ragasudha Vinjamuri.

Mayor of Hounslow Cllr. Amar Grewal, former MP for Isleworth Mary Macleod, Human Rights campaigner Lakshmi Kaul, Milton Keynes  Cllr. Geetha Morla and founder of the charity Jeena Rani Bilkhu have spoken on the occasion. Also present were Cllr Katherine Dunne, Cllr Pritam Grewal, Cllr Myra Savin and Cllr Bishnu Bahadur Gurung and many other distinguished guests.

Ashwini Kinhikar, radio presenter at Lyca DilSe has hosted the programme which was sponsored and supported by Lodha Group, B+ Consulting, Sanskruti Centre, Bawa London, Jeena charity, Magnifique Makeovers and La Vaastu. Raffles draw prizes were contributed by  Aaditya Creations, Ashwini Kaleskar, Direct School Wear, Divyanjli Gandhi, Ethnic Stop Shop,  Fafa Sani, Gurjinder Dhaliwal and Jhoomke London. Soul Crafts has given away goody bags for children and guests of honour. Volunteers who helped with the event management were Anupama Nagaraja, Hitanshi Bendre, Neelam More Agarwal, Pallavi Vishwakarma, Rehana Ameer, Sahiti Nekkanti, Seemangi Palekar Shivangi Gokhale and Vaishali Mantri.
