For eight radiant nights, Grand Sapphire became a glowing beacon of joy, devotion, and cultural pride as it hosted South London’s most talked-about Navratri celebration of 2025.
From 23rd to 30th September, this iconic venue opened its doors to thousands of guests especially the Gujarati community for a stunning celebration of Goddess Durga through Garba, Dandiya, live music, delicious food, and deep spiritual moments.
The atmosphere was electric. Families arrived in colourful traditional dress, smiles beaming, ready to dance under the shimmering chandeliers. The air filled with the beat of the dhol, the rhythm of clapping hands, and the fragrance of incense and fresh food.
Each evening began with aarti and devotion, followed by hours of dancing, laughter, and joyful celebration. Guests enjoyed a rich spread of authentic Gujarati cuisine, including fasting-friendly options and festive favourites, lovingly prepared by Grand Sapphire’s award-winning chefs.
Among the honoured guests was Dr Manju Shahul-Hameed, former Mayor of Croydon, who praised the event as “a true celebration of unity, culture, and the spirit of togetherness.”
This wasn’t just another event. it was a memory, a moment, and a masterpiece of cultural celebration.
