Returning on 8th March for ‘International Women’s Day’, ‘The Fashion Brunch’, founded by Anisha Vasani, continues to celebrate diversity and empowerment. Breaking away from traditional fashion shows, it unites women from all backgrounds to embrace their uniqueness.

With the IWD 2025 theme ‘Accelerate Action’, nine survivors of abuse will take the runway, sharing their powerful stories in designs by Nikaza Asian Couture and House of Rani, with jewellery from Meraki Jewels and Jewels by MK.

Domestic abuse remains a critical issue in the South Asian community, where stigma often silences victims. A 2021 study found 48% of South Asian respondents had experienced physical abuse, though the true scale is likely higher. Breaking this silence is vital.

The ‘Sisters of Strength – United to End Abuse’ campaign unites survivors like Sandy Phgura, Sharan Dhillon, Rupi Dhillon, Nina Aouilk, and Dr. Celeste Aouilk-Jaiyeola, who share their stories to empower others. "Sisterhood can combat gender-based violence," says Nina Aouilk, spokesperson for ‘End Honour Killings’.

This year’s charity partner, ‘KindheART’, has supported vulnerable women and children in the UK, Kenya, and India since 2017. "Over 80% of our work aids orphaned children, trafficked survivors, and women in need," says trustee Alka Shah.

Held at ‘Courtyard by Marriott, London’, the event features a panel with actress Laila Zaidi, BBC presenter Shay Grewal, Manisha Tailor, Alisha Singh, Nikita Kanda, Raj Chohan, and Sophie Choudry.

Now in its sixth year, ‘The Fashion Brunch’ continues to empower women. Founder Anisha Vasani remains committed to redefining beauty standards, with her ‘Bold & Beautiful – Plus Size’ concept winning ‘Best Creative Campaign’ last year.

"This event is more than fashion—it’s a platform to uplift survivors," says Anisha.

Partnering with ‘Luxurist Magazine’, the ‘6th Anniversary Fashion Brunch’ promises an inspiring celebration of 300–350 attendees, featuring networking, discussions, and an exclusive fashion show. "I love being part of an event where women uplift each other," says ITV & Channel 5 presenter Anila Dhami.
