December was a festive month across the globe, but the community group, Essex Indians wanted to spend that time differently.

Inspired by Mrs. Subhasini Mistry who started Humanity Hospital - a vegetable seller on Kolkata footpath. She lost her husband due to ill health and lack of fund to treat her him. Then she decided to start her own hospital, where she will offer free treatments for all. She educated her son to become a doctor from Kolkata Medical College and her daughter a trained Nurse. Since last 25 years she is offering free treatments for the people of Sunderban and Haspukur in South 24 PGS.
